General Requirements for Member Clubs

Clubs that are eligible to join CRTA:

• AKC Licensed or Member Retriever Clubs, or the Professional Retriever Trainers Association, that want their members to be eligible to join CRTA as Individual Members, or that want to hold AKC field trials or hunt tests, or other club events for retrievers on the CRTA grounds.

• The National Retriever Club, National Amateur Retriever Club, Master National Retriever Club, Master Amateur Retriever Club, and the National Derby Club, that want to hold AKC national field trials or AKC national hunt tests on the CRTA grounds.

• AKC retriever breed clubs that want to hold parent club sanctioned working certificate tests on the CRTA grounds.

• NAHRA Member Clubs that want their members to be eligible to join CRTA as Individual Members, or that want to hold field tests or other club events for retrievers on the CRTA grounds.

• HRC Member Clubs that want their members to be eligible to join CRTA as Individual Members, or that want to hold hunt tests or other club events for retrievers on the CRTA grounds.

• Retriever clubs that want to hold APLA hunt tests or other club events for retrievers on the CRTA grounds, or that want their members to be eligible to join CRTA as individual members.

• 2025 Annual dues: $100. Includes one free training day on CRTA grounds. Contact the Association Secretary for details.

• Fee for 2025 annual storage of Member Club s equipment trailer: $410 per year.

How to Join

New clubs interested in joining CRTA as member clubs should email the Association Secretary at secretary@crtaonline.com and request application forms.

Renewing clubs are sent renewal invitations at the end of the calendar year that include the appropriate forms for renewal.

Proof of insurance is required for clubs that hold events, training days or store trailers on CRTA grounds. <Click here> for insurance requirements.
